ABOUT US

Green Boost Organics is a local startup that aims to solve two of South Africa's biggest agricultural problems. The first of which is how expensive it is to be healthy and environmentally friendly. We do not charge a premium for our fertiliser just because it is organic, rather, we see it as the reason it should be cheaper. The second problem is that of unsustainable and damaging chemical fertiliser use. Chemical fertilisers are resposible for soil degradation over time and for poising water sources, living organisms, and you, the consumer. Green Boost Organics liquid fertiliser is an environmentally friendly alternative of fermented humic compounds that add to the health of the soil over time by introducing beneficial microbes. There is a zero burn risk as the fertiliser contains no harmful chemicals which makes it safe to apply to any plant. Our love for the plants of our nation and the environment that encapsulates it, drove us to create a sustainable source of affordable growth.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Fertiliser Harmful to Any Plants?

No, not at all. Because the fertiliser is organic, there is no burn risk. However with sensitive plants like seedlings and houseplants, use the weaker dilution suggested for gentle nurturing.

What is The Fertilser Made From?

The fertiliser is produced by fermenting a weed known as devil's horsewhip and guinea grass, a common South African grass, in dechlorinated water. The fermentation takes 14 full days to complete and is then bottled and sold.

How Often Should I Apply It?

Application frequency can vary depending on the requirements of the plants. For general upkeep and health, apply every 1-2 weeks. However, if there is more demand, utilize the fertiliser every watering session.

Does It Smell Terrible Like Other Organic Fertilisers?

No it doesn't. Thanks to the unique fermentation process the finished product has a sweet and unintrusive finish. Granted, you can't use it as perfume but you really don't smell it unless you put your nose right against it. The smell after application is mitigated and unnoticeable.

What Makes Your Fertiliser Different To Chemical Fertilisers?

Chemical fertilisers are effective for short term use, they do not account for long term reaping. Green Boost Organic Liquid fertiliser makes utilizes of the course of nature to holistically and organically boost growth. The process of breaking down the digestible elements of plants through fermentation, makes them more available to those still growing. It is merely a beneficial contribution to the cyclical nature of growth.
